O COME TO THE ALTAR

This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – 1 Timothy 1:15

GONE ARE THE DAYS OF ACTUAL ANIMAL SACRIFICES FOR SIN.  JESUS CAME THAT HE WOULD BE THE ONE FINAL SACRIFICE FOR ALL WHO WOULD COME TO HIM AND WOULD CLEANSE THEM OF THEIR SIN. (HEBREWS 10)

THE WOUNDED, THE OUTCAST, THE ADDICTED AND THOSE BEING CRUSHED UNDER THE WEIGHT AND GUILT OF THEIR SIN CAN RUN TO THE ALTAR.  THEY CAN TAKE ALL OF THEIR SORROWS AND TRADE THEM FOR JOY THROUGH CHRIST.  (ISAIAH 61:1-3) REGRETS, MISTAKES AND OUR SINS ARE CAST AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST.  WE JUST NEED TO GO TO JESUS.

It doesn’t matter how good of a life we try to live.  We’re all sinners. We all need to be saved.  We all have baggage and pain that we carry around with us.  The answer for all that is very simple. Go to Jesus!

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. – 1 John 1:9

That’s all it takes…confession.  He cleanses us from all our sin and then healing begins.  He gives us living water.  Our sorrows get traded for joy!  And we can leave behind our regrets and mistakes.  Why would anybody wait to run into the Father’s arms, knowing that forgiveness and joy await!

It doesn’t matter where we’ve been, what we’ve done, if we come to Jesus, His arms are wide open, waiting to receive us!  Run to Him like the Prodigal son and you can find forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ!  Then share the beauty He made from ashes so they too can sing “Oh What A Savior!”

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Heb 4:16

THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO CONDEMNATION TO THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS  ROMANS 8:1
