I’ve Found a Love

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Ephesians 2:8

How wonderful it is to know that we are saved!  How great it is to know we are going to spend eternity with our Lord and Savior!  How amazing it is to know that even though we were dead in our trespasses, Jesus rescued us! Now, from the dirty, miry clay, mud and guck of this world, when we call His Name, He answers, saves and rescues us.

Our God is so gracious and loving to us, that while we were still sinning, still living for ourselves, still trying to get all we can out of this world, He died to save us (Romans 5:8).  He died the death we deserved so we could live the life.

For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. – 1 Corinthians 6:20

Words really cannot begin to describe the cost Jesus paid when He took our place as the sacrifice hanging there, dying on that cross. We don’t deserve that kind of love. But when we cry out to Him, He answers. When we call the name of Jesus, He delivers us out of our darkness. We are all sons and daughters of a living God because of the love we find in Christ.

If you are saved through Christ Jesus, you are recipients of that great love and hope. You were lost but now you are found by the only One who could carry your burden, take your penalty and remove your stains through His sacrifice.

By His grace, we are free and He promises to never leave us or forsake us, even when we fall. That is true love! That is our God!

So live today knowing every breath, every heartbeat is given by our great Deliverer and that nothing can compare to his love for us. Not even life itself! We were lost but now were found!

When I call on Your name You answer.
When I fall You are there by my side.
You delivered me out of darkness.
Now I stand in the hope of new life.

By grace I’m free. You’ve rescued me.
All I am is Yours.

I’ve found a love
greater than life itself
I’ve found a hope stronger
and nothing compares
I once was lost now I’m alive in You

You’re my God and my firm foundation
It is You whom I’ll trust at all times
I give glory and praise, adoration
To my Savior who’s seated on high.
