Open year round and are located about 8 miles west of Tulelake, near the Fish and Wildlife Refuge, on Hill road.   Winema Historic Lodge offers a relaxed atmosphere, whether you are coming to experience the National Lava Beds or take in the beauty of the many Bird Refuges.

Loyal and Pam Taylor are the caretakers, providing year-round lodging and dining services.

If you’re in the area make sure you check out any one or all of the local places of interest.  From the historic World War II Internment Camps to the 216 different type of birds that migrate through the area.  Winema Historic Lodge is one of the most beautiful and interesting places in California.

Winema Historic Lodge was in need of some updating when Pam and Loyal took over.   Their website was not functional for a hotel / bed and breakfast and they had no advertising presence or logo for branding.

In theme with the name and the area,  we came up with a logo that represented the historicity that is deep within the soul of the lodge.  The feather representing the Modoc female Indian Chief.

After finalizing the brand for the lodge, we went to work creating a website that both informational and functional.  We wanted to display the history of the area and represent both the hunting and birdwatching side of the lodge.  Hunting and birdwatching are some of the common patrons that come back year after year to this family friendly lodge.

The website included back-end content management for the owners to fully control and navigate and a reservation system that is easy to use and functional.
